Job summary

Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island, Florida is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Coordinator to join our team.

The role supports accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general accounting tasks. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of AR/AP experience in hospitality, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with manual and automated systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of two (2) years' accounts receivable and payable experience, preferably in the hospitality and/or restaurant field.
• Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems
• Well-developed administrative skills, with proven ability to assist other staff members with questions and problems
• Well organized with strong multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices.
• Handle receipts and coding for the purchasing card.
• Ensure vendor statements are reconciled monthly.
• Assist with weekly and periodic check runs by matching invoices with checks.
• Assist with processing payroll
• Record monthly journal entries as requested.
• Verify daily cash drops
• Prepare cash deposits and checks into the bank.
• Monitor and process petty cash and cash over/short.
• Ship retail items
• Audit the safe monthly
• Assist in inventory count
• Perform monthly audits of all employee cash banks.
• Upkeep and storage of accounting documents.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by the Controller.
