Job summary

GPI Geospatial, a leading mapping firm, is seeking an Accounting Assistant in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will support the Geospatial division with accounting tasks, accounts payable, and project financial reporting across multiple departments.

You will maintain accurate records, collaborate with clients and vendors, and assist with special projects while upholding high standards of detail and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Prior accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and administrative support to the Geospatial division.
• Process and manage accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist with project financial reporting, billing support, and cost tracking.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Support multiple departments with financial and administrative needs.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, agency representatives, and internal staff.
• Assist with special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned.
