Job summary

Next 150 Construction, a Gilbane Building Company subsidiary, seeks an Accounting Practitioner to partner with our accounting team on basic manual and computer accounting tasks. This role sits primarily in the office in Charlotte, NC, and offers entry-level growth within a nationally respected contractor.

You will scan AP invoices, process payments and vouchers, extract information, compile summaries, and support payroll activities under close supervision, with opportunities to learn through

Qualifications

• Entry level - 1 year
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Scanning AP Invoices
• Process payments, invoices and vouchers
• Extract specified information or add appropriate standard coding and attachments to documents
• Compile simple summaries of information relating to documents processed
• Manage timesheet collection, approval and other items related to the payroll process
• Locate and extract information from files and records as requested
• May perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division manually or using a calculator
• Assist Senior Accounting Practitioner under close supervision
