Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking a Project Accountant for our Charlotte area team with remote flexibility. The role blends general accounting duties with project-based accounting, including job costing and WIP analysis, to support operational finance across corporate and field operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. CPA/MBA preferred; travel 2–4 days per month may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and project accounting

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process with journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare WIP schedules, job cost reports, budgets, and forecast variances
• Collaborate with Finance and Operations leadership to review project performance
• Support project setup, contract review, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
• Investigate discrepancies and improve processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
• Monitor inventory and construction activity for accurate job costing and WIP
• Assist with annual audit schedules and documentation
• Contribute to enhancements in accounting systems and reporting tools
