Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Operational Account Coordinator to serve as the primary operational contact for a client account, managing ground shipments from booking to delivery. You will validate requests, create bookings in the customer platform and TMS, and identify consolidation opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in freight, 3PL, transportation, logistics account coordination, or customer-facing transportation operations.
• Experience owning day-to-day communication for a customer account, including shipment updates and escalations.
• Hands-on experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) from booking to delivery.
• Knowledge of domestic ground transportation types (FTL/LTL/intermodal) and load consolidation.
• Strong attention to detail and written communication; able to manage high-volume workloads.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for an assigned customer account.
• Manage ground shipments from initial booking request through execution and delivery.
• Receive and validate shipment requests; build bookings in the customer platform and TMS.
• Review loads to identify consolidation opportunities before creating new shipments.
• Monitor operation boards for delays, exceptions, and changes; proactively communicate updates and resolutions to customers.
• Collaborate with internal operations, capacity planning, and warehouse teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate shipment information across systems and escalate concerns when needed.
• Manage a high-volume workload with strong organization and direct customer communications in a fast-paced freight environment.
