Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for our Account Manager - Accelerated Sales Program in California. The program speeds growth for sales professionals through classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to develop the skills, relationships, and knowledge to succeed in outside sales.

As an Account Manager you will prepare and execute account plans, enter customer orders, sell our value proposition, and ride along with managers to learn jobsite sales calls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• 1–2 years of sales or related field experience may be considered.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-governance, proactive approach, personal accountability, independence.
• Competitive nature with a drive to succeed.
• Goal-oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics.
• Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities.
• Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participates in classroom, independent study, and on-the-job training to learn the White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills.
• Prepares and executes account plans.
• Sells White Cap value proposition and products.
• Learn about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers.
• Enters and processes customer orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
