Job description

A global leader in advanced optical and sensor technologies is seeking an Account Manager to support continued growth within the semiconductor and advanced instrumentation markets. The organization partners with Fortune 100 companies, leading research institutions, and high-growth technology firms, delivering cutting-edge solutions across industrial and scientific applications.

The Account Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day activities within a key OEM semiconductor account, including CRM updates, customer communication, and opportunity tracking
  • Coordinating customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions while supporting ongoing relationship management
  • Partnering cross-functionally with internal teams (operations, pricing, supply chain, engineering) to ensure seamless execution across quoting, forecasting, delivery, and issue resolution
  • Driving revenue growth through strategic account planning, new opportunity identification, and expansion within existing business
  • Supporting new product introductions, competitive displacement strategies, and share-of-wallet growth initiatives
  • Leveraging market intelligence (competition, cost drivers, customer roadmaps) to guide pricing strategy and business decisions
  • Supporting commercial negotiations, including pricing agreements, NDAs, and partnership or development agreements
  • Maintaining detailed tracking tools including forecasts, pricing sheets, project trackers, and pipeline reporting
  • Building and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and executive leadership

The Account Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
  • Advanced degree (PhD) or equivalent industry experience (~5+ years)
  • Background in photonics, semiconductor technology, optics, or related advanced hardware domains
  • Hands-on or adjacent technical experience (e.g., device engineering, system support, applications engineering)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage complex customer relationships and multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to semiconductor inspection, metrology, or advanced instrumentation
  • Customer-facing presentation and negotiation experience
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
