Job Description
Exciting Opportunity: Become Our Next Account Manager!
Are you ready to make a hands-on impact in the metal recycling industry? We’re seeking a physically active and dynamic Account Manager to join our dedicated team. You’ll engage directly with catalytic converter suppliers in your territory, sourcing these components at competitive prices while providing exceptional customer service. This role offers a chance to contribute to our growth through direct field engagement.

**Work Setup:** Home-based office with frequent travel and on-site visits

**What You’ll Do:**

  • Build Strong Partnerships: Forge and maintain relationships with new and existing catalytic converter suppliers, often in person.
  • Savvy Purchasing: Seek out potential suppliers, conduct site visits, and assess their operations to secure advantageous prices.
  • Bid Management: Prepare bids, gather data, and ensure our offers are competitive.
  • Supplier Insights: Understand supplier challenges and needs through face-to-face interactions.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities via field engagement.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Negotiate terms during on-site visits to ensure beneficial agreements.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect catalytic converters on-site for authenticity and compliance.
  • Physical Inspection and Lifting: Safely lift and assess the condition of catalytic converters.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor sales data and market trends to inform strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with operations and logistics teams for smooth processes.
  • Compliance Commitment: Stay updated on environmental and safety regulations.
  • Education & Guidance: Educate suppliers and customers on recycling benefits through in-person discussions.

Qualifications
To join our team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, especially in metal recycling or automotive industries.
  • Knowledge of catalytic converters and market dynamics is a plus.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to analyze market and sales data.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and data analysis tools.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to recycling is a plus.
