Health Plan Account Manager - REMOTE

Job Description

The Account Manager supports the assigned Employer Account Executive and Employer Groups in communications, client-facing initiatives, and product and program recommendations. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with designated client counterparts.

Responsibilities
  1. Work directly with Employer Groups and Health Plan Leadership to resolve issues and ensure member satisfaction; coordinate with operational units to improve processes.
  2. Collaborate with account executives and leadership to build business cases for initiatives; support implementations, performance standards, and cost justifications.
  3. Evaluate reporting requests, access relevant data, and present information effectively to influence decision-making.
  4. Facilitate meetings with Employer Groups to build relationships and promote product opportunities; follow up with stakeholders.
  5. Support client audits, develop presentations, and facilitate visits and health fairs.
  6. Optimize pharmacy spend for small employer accounts using Prime products and services.
  7. Support client retention through issue resolution, understanding client challenges, and implementing mutual value initiatives.
  8. Document interactions and input data into Salesforce CRM, including meeting notes, dependencies, risks, decisions, and next steps.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of Client Service/Account Management experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Effective selling, presentation, and proposal development skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for facilitating meetings, resolving conflicts, and influencing stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize compliance, business goals, and initiatives.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or PBM industry.
  • Pharmacy technician experience and/or CPhT certification.
Physical Demands
  • Travel up to 30%.
  • Work outside standard hours as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Constantly sit, use hands, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required.

Employees must comply with security responsibilities, legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
