Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency specializing in paid media, SEO, CRO and web for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you own an established book of recurring agency clients, keeping them and growing them as our sales team wins new business.

You will own retention across your book, drive upsells and expansion, manage a seven-figure annual quota, and work with strategists and delivery teams so the client hears one clear voice.

Qualifications

• Agency account management experience in marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency.
• Proven track record keeping clients and selling more work with measurable results.
• Comfort carrying a quota and driving revenue growth.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Retain across your book: nurture relationships, renewals, early warning when drift occurs.
• Upsell and expand: identify and sell the next project within each client.
• Achieve a seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Collaborate with strategists and delivery teams to present one clear voice to clients.

Blacksmith Agency is a remote digital agency running paid media, SEO, CRO and web for marketing-led brands. As Account Director you own an established book of recurring agency clients. Our sales team wins new clients; you keep them and grow them.

What You Will Own

• Retention across your book: the relationship, the renewal and the early warning when an account is drifting.
• Upsells and expansion: finding the next project inside each client and selling it.
• A seven-figure annual quota across retention and upsells.
• Working with the strategists and delivery team who run the work, so the client hears one clear voice.

What You Need

• Agency account management experience. Marketing, digital, creative or advertising agency. This is a must.
• A record of keeping clients and selling them more work, with numbers you can walk us through.
• Comfort carrying a quota.
• Clear, calm communication with senior client stakeholders.

Base plus commission, split 50/50.
