Job summary

Paycom in Kyle, TX is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide full-service account management, respond to inquiries via phone, email, or direct contact, and coordinate orders, quotes, returns, and credits within an industrial distribution environment.

You will work with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing and other departments to meet customer delivery needs, minimize shipments and costs, and resolve issues while promoting add-on sales and maintaining supplier

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication in a professional manner.
• Minimum of 1 year in customer service or sales experience.
• Demonstrated computer skills; JDE and HydraList experience preferred.
• Basic Windows and Office skills are a plus.
• 1 year multitasking under time constraints.
• Ability to read blueprints and/or measurements is preferred.
• Basic arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds to inquiries via phone, email, or direct customer contact.
• Receives, processes and coordinates orders, quotes, returns, and credits according to policy.
• Collaborates with sales, credit, inventory control, warehousing and other departments to meet customer needs.
• Minimizes shipments while reducing expenses to meet delivery requirements.
• Investigates order entry, shipping, and billing errors and coordinates solutions.
• Increases sales by promoting add-ons at the point of order through product knowledge.
• Follows up with customers to keep them informed of status and maintains relationships with suppliers.
