Job summary

Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness in Dayton, OH. The role provides patient-focused front-desk service, handles registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and data entry to support ED operations.

Under supervision of the Patient Access Manager, you will help maintain patient relations, collect payments, protect PHI, and coordinate with Main ED, South ED and Huber Heights locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer-service orientation at front desk
• Experience handling patient interactions and inquiries preferred
• Understanding of healthcare workflows and PHI handling beneficial

Job Details

Patient Access Representatives provide customer-service coverage and assume the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Manager, this position performs imperative duties, which may include, but not limited to appointment scheduling, registration, transcribing orders, insurance verification, telephone coverage, data entry, filing protected health information (PHI), patient referrals, and payment collection, while maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Dayton Children’s Hospital financial solvency.

  • (2) 9-hour shifts (7:30am-5pm) and (2) 10-hour shifts (7:45am-6:15pm)
  • Every 3rd weekend
  • Will float to Main ED, South ED and Huber Heights location

Education
