Job summary

The Academy Coach position at Wal-Mart in Murfreesboro, TN leads world-class training across Walmart facilities, translating classroom learning into on‑the‑job performance and driving operational excellence.

You will partner with store leadership to identify development opportunities, coach associates and leaders, and support change initiatives using a mix of in-person and virtual learning tools, including VR, to foster belonging and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Current Walmart associate with 18 months’ experience in Walmart operations as a salaried member of management supervising non-exempt associates/employees.
• Successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and Firearms Authorized Training (if applying for a store that sells firearms).
• State issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applying for a store that sells ammunition).
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class training experiences across Walmart facilities.
• Facilitate learning through multiple modalities and support change management initiatives.
• Partner with facility leadership to identify development opportunities and ensure on-the-job transfer of learning.
• Coach associates and leaders by providing actionable feedback and performance support.
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new processes through training and hands-on coaching.
