Job summary

Walmart Inc. seeks an Academy Coach to lead strategic learning experiences across Bradenton facilities, shaping associate capability, engagement, and consistent operational excellence.

You will design and deliver instructor-led and virtual training, coach leaders and associates, collaborate with store leadership to strengthen talent pipelines, and ensure learning translates into measurable performance. This role emphasizes inclusion, continuous improvement, and adoption of new training

Qualifications

• Must be a current Walmart associate with 18 months of Walmart operations experience as a salaried manager supervising non-exempt associates.
• Successful completion of a firearms CBC and Firearms Training (if applying for a position in a store that sells firearms).
• State issued Certificate of Eligibility (if applying for a position in a store that sells ammunition).
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences to build associate capability and drive operational excellence across Walmart facilities.
• Facilitating training through instructor-led classroom training, virtual platforms, Academy Connect, VR, and emerging learning technologies.
• Partnering with facility leaders to identify development opportunities, strengthen talent pipelines, and support succession planning efforts.
• Coaching and developing associates and leaders by providing actionable feedback, mentoring, and performance support that drives growth and accountability.
• Conducting facility visits to ensure classroom learning translates into operational execution and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
• Supporting the successful adoption of new processes, programs, and change initiatives through training, communication, and hands-on coaching.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across facilities, Academy teams, and business partners to align learning solutions with business needs.
• Driving continuous improvement by conducting facilitation audits, participating in content reviews, and providing feedback to enhance learning effectiveness.
• Leveraging data, observations, and business insights to measure learning outcomes and improve associate readiness.
• Creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement, belonging, collaboration, and continuous development.
