Job summary

The University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism is seeking an enthusiastic IT support-generalist to join our Information Technology team in Los Angeles. You will provide on-site helpdesk support for students, faculty and staff, handling Tier 1 and 2 IT and AV tasks.

The role involves supporting AV-rich classrooms, training materials, imaging and troubleshooting, with a focus on customer service and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years related professional experience
• Experience with Windows and Mac environments
• Experience with AV technologies and live events

Responsibilities

• Provide general software, hardware and technical support at on-site helpdesk.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 IT and AV support for faculty, students and staff.
• Support learning spaces with AMX/Extron and IP-based collaboration systems.
• Create knowledge center documents and quick reference guides.
• Imaging, backups, restoration, software installs and diagnostics.
