Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
• Two years of directly related computer support experience required; three years preferred.
• Knowledge of computing environments and working knowledge of hardware, software, operating systems, networks, wireless, security software, peripherals.
• Experience with technology asset management, account and access support, documentation, training, backup and restoration, and ticketing or service-management tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, assistance, and consultation to faculty, students, staff, researchers, and administrative users onsite, remotely, or by telephone.
• Diagnose problems and resolve, elevate, or refer technical issues as appropriate; support computers, operating systems, software, printers, peripherals, networks, and security software.
• Plan, design, install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot networked and stand-alone computer systems in classrooms, offices, and research spaces.
• Provide hands-on training sessions or instructional classes in hardware, software, and supported technology services.
• Coordinate with network, systems, audiovisual, instructional technology, and other teams; contribute to projects, deployments, and maintenance.
