Albany Medical College Division of Cardiology is seeking a full-time Electrophysiologist at Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our academic faculty and provide full-spectrum EP care in a collaborative environment.

The role includes outpatient clinics, inpatient EP consultations, ablations, device implantations, and teaching responsibilities with fellows and residents. Leadership and research involvement are encouraged in a thriving capitol-region academic center.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Passion for providing high-quality care to patients and advancing the field of cardiology
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
