Job summary

Albany Medical College's Division of Cardiology seeks a full-time Electrophysiologist at Assistant or Associate Professor level to practice the full spectrum of EP in a collaborative academic environment.

You will join a growing team and perform ablations and device implantations, manage outpatient EP clinics, and provide inpatient consultations while contributing to the education of fellows, residents, and other providers.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree; board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
• Passion for high-quality patient care and advancing cardiology
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction, and advanced device therapy desirable
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, residents, fellows, and other providers
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in New York

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
• Ablation procedures and device implantations
• Collaborate with faculty across heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers
