Job summary

Albany Medical College’s Division of Cardiology invites applications for a full-time Electrophysiologist at Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our academic faculty and provide broad EP care in a collaborative environment.

The role includes outpatient and inpatient EP clinics, ablations, device implantations, and collaboration with heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and imaging, with teaching of fellows and residents. NY licensure eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology.
• Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities for academic appointment.
• Leadership qualities and strong communication in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient EP clinic, including outreach.
• Inpatient electrophysiology consultations.
• Ablation procedures and device implantations.
• Collaborate with faculty across heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and imaging.
• Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers.
