Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence & Accommodations Business Partner to support compliant leave and accommodations across North America. The role partners with HR, Legal, and leaders to interpret policies and guide complex cases, ensuring compliant administration and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, FMCSA, and Workers' Compensation, with experience educating stakeholders and maintaining knowledge bases and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in state and federal leave laws and related regulations.
• Experience interpreting policy and providing guidance on leave and accommodations.
• Strong MS Office skills and data handling capabilities.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of time and work remotely when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison to Legal and Risk Management to identify risks and document audit-ready decisions.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders on policy interpretation, complex scenarios, and coach managers.
• Promote consistent application of Absence & Accommodations policies through education and compliance support.
• Serve as an employee advocate for complex leaves and accommodations.
• Participate in Governance Committee reviews and implement approved outcomes.
• Create and deliver updates, policy changes, and compliance guidance to diverse audiences.
