Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks an Absence & Accommodations Business Partner to support CAI and subsidiaries across North America. You will partner with HR, Legal, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant administration of leave programs and resolve complex matters.

You will educate stakeholders, develop playbooks, and guide policy interpretation on FMLA, ADA, PWFA, FMCSA, and workers' compensation while promoting consistency and risk mitigation. Travel up to 15% with remote options outside Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline and 4 years of related experience in absence management, leave administration, or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of self-funded and fully insured disability benefit programs, ERISA guidelines, and related regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex leave and accommodation requirements to stakeholders.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; if outside Atlanta, remote work with periodic travel.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison to Legal and Risk Management to identify risks and document audit-ready decisions.
• Partner with HR BPs and leaders on policy interpretation, complex scenarios, and manager coaching.
• Promote and support consistent application of Absence & Accommodations policies and standards.
• Serve as an employee advocate for complex absences and accommodations.
• Create and deliver updates, policy changes, and compliance guidance to audiences; develop playbooks and FAQs.
• Educate employees and stakeholders on policies and compliance requirements.
• Support cross-functional initiatives to improve process efficiency and experience.
