Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring an Absence & Accommodations Business Partner to support compliant leave, accommodation, and workers' compensation programs across North America. The role collaborates with HR, Legal, and cross-functional teams to interpret policies and resolve complex cases.

Location: Atlanta or remote within Eastern/Central time zones; hybrid work model. Travel up to 15% may be required, and a strong foundation in FMLA/ADA/PWFA is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of related experience in absence management, leave administration, or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, FMCSA, and workers' compensation regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and ability to work remotely when needed within Eastern/Central time zones.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison to Legal and Risk Management to identify risks and mitigation strategies for complex leave and accommodation matters; document audit-ready decisions.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders on policy interpretation, complex scenarios, and manager coaching; provide timely guidance.
• Promote consistent application of Absence & Accommodations policies through education and compliance support.
• Serve as an employee advocate for sensitive and complex absence and accommodation requests.
• Participate in Governance Committee reviews and support implementation of approved outcomes.
• Create and deliver Absence & Accommodations updates, policy changes, and compliance guidance to multiple audiences; develop playbooks and FAQs.
• Interpret company policies to promote compliance and educate employees and stakeholders as needed.
• Serve as a project consultant on cross-functional teams to support compliant program administration.
• Support development and maintenance of Absence & Accommodations knowledge base content.
• Identify trends from stakeholder input and share insights with leadership for improvements.
