Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence & Accommodations Business Partner to support compliant leave and accommodation programs across North America. You will collaborate with HR, Legal, and cross-functional teams to interpret policies, resolve complex cases, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role includes education, reporting, and process improvements to enhance the employee experience. Hybrid work is available with potential remote arrangements depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline; 4+ years in absence management, leave administration, or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of self-funded and fully insured disability programs, ERISA interactions, and related regulations.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and related accommodation processes; ability to interpret and apply policies.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison to Legal and Risk Management to identify risks and document decisions.
• Partner with HRBPs and leaders on policy interpretation, complex scenarios, and manager coaching.
• Promote consistent application of Absence & Accommodations policies through education and compliance support.
• Act as employee advocate for sensitive absence and accommodation requests.
• Participate in Governance Committee reviews and implement approved outcomes.
• Create and deliver updates, playbooks, and FAQs for Absence & Accommodations programs.
• Collaborate with COE, Legal, and cross-functional teams on escalated matters.
• Support data dashboards and reporting across U.S. and Canada.
