Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence & Accommodations Business Partner to oversee leave, accommodation, and workers' compensation support across North America. You will partner with HR, Legal, and leaders to ensure compliant administration of programs and mitigate risks.

The role focuses on policy interpretation, training, education, and governance, with a strong emphasis on compliance and stakeholder communication. Hybrid work in Atlanta; remote options available elsewhere within time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline with 4 years of related experience in absence management, leave administration, or accommodations.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA and Workers' Comp requirements across U.S. and Canada.
• Ability to interpret policies and provide guidance to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison to Legal and Risk Management to identify risks and mitigate complex leave matters; document audit-ready decisions.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders on policy interpretation and complex scenarios; provide guidance and next steps.
• Promote consistent application of Absence & Accommodations policies through consultation and compliance support.
• Serve as employee advocate for sensitive absence requests and outcomes.
• Participate in Governance Committee reviews and implement approved outcomes.
• Create and deliver Absence & Accommodations updates, playbooks, FAQs and training materials.
• Champion compliance by interpreting policies and educating employees and stakeholders.
• Serve as project consultant on cross-functional teams for compliant program administration.
• Develop and maintain Absence & Accommodations knowledge base content.
• Identify trends from stakeholder consultations and share insights with leadership.
