Job summary

Atlanta Gas Light is seeking an entry-level team member to support field operations, including deactivation of service, meter reading and maintenance tasks on above- and below-ground gas systems. You will work with a crew, operate basic tools and equipment, and follow safety procedures daily.

Responsibilities include reading meters, assisting with inspections, and performing routine maintenance while delivering good customer service and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic hand tools knowledge.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass assessments.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently works a route to complete customer and compliance orders.
• Observes safety requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Captures documentation in Mobile Data Terminal and notes abnormal conditions.
• Assists in connecting/disconnecting gas service and turning meters on/off.
• Performs meter readings, inspections, and maintenance on gas systems.
• Operates basic equipment and tools for distribution crew tasks.
