Job summary

Constellation Health Services seeks a Behavior Technician to deliver ABA-based interventions across home, clinic, and school settings. You will collect data, implement strategies, and provide parent training under a BCBA's supervision.

The role emphasizes direct client care, 1:1 and group sessions, and documentation of progress while ensuring child safety and effective communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an accredited university and one year of direct relevant experience with youth and families needing behavior management.
• An associate’s degree (60 college credits) and a minimum of two years of direct relevant experience with youth and families who require behavior management.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Teaches targeted behaviors using techniques such as reward systems, incidental teaching, and pivotal response training.
• Collects, records and summarizes data from training sessions.
• Reinforces positive behavior with children on caseload.
• Communicates effectively with administrators, parents and community members.
• Facilitates transitions between agencies and programs as service provision changes.
• Provides direct client care in 1:1 and group settings with intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follows prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
• Assists with parent and caregiver training aligned with individualized treatment and protocols.
• Maintains documentation of intervention goals and progress.
• Ensures safety and handles emergency situations appropriately.
