Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Program Manager I to oversee multiple projects and ensure successful customer relationships, cost management, scheduling, and technical execution. You will manage programs with budgets up to $20M and supervise project staff as the primary customer point of contact.

The role requires leadership, strong financial acumen, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders to meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in Aerospace & Defense.
• 1+ years leading teams of 3+ cross-functional members.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
• Experience evaluating RFx proposals and quotes.
• Experience with contract negotiations and different contract types.

Responsibilities

• Manage all programmatic aspects of multiple projects focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Coordinate audits and negotiate with stakeholders to meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Support the Program Director and Business Operations in the Business Area.
