Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) seeks a Program Manager I to oversee multiple projects within the SAOC program, ensuring strong customer relationships, cost control, scheduling, and technical execution. You will manage programs with budgets up to $20M and serve as the primary point of contact for customers.

Role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years in aerospace & defense program management, leadership of cross-functional teams, and an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in project or program management in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) industry.
• 1+ years' experience leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all programmatic aspects of multiple assigned projects, focusing on customer relationships, cost, schedule, and technical planning.
• Track and report on project status, technical execution, and overall program performance.
• Supervise program and project staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for customers.
• Participate in business resource planning and tracking in coordination with other corporate entities.
• Formulate and lead a team to fulfill program requirements.
• Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
• Manage program risks and opportunities by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and managing them.
• Interface on project/program status and develop proposals.
• Conduct research and fact-finding for project/program needs.
• Coordinate audits and negotiate with project/program stakeholders to ensure initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.
