Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a multi-disciplinary team and drive timely, cost-conscious project delivery in a hybrid work setting. You will enhance technical leadership, manage engineering programs, and ensure compliance with standards and DoD requirements.

The role focuses on cross-functional collaboration, risk assessment, and continuous improvement while mentoring staff and presenting updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline.
• Typically, 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of engineering products.
• Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
• Drive the development and implementation of technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable standards and regulations.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders.
