Regional 911 Intake Solutions is seeking 911 Call Takers in North Anson, Maine to manage incoming emergency and nonemergency calls with focus on accurate information gathering and rapid escalation to dispatch teams.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong listening, typing speed, and clear verbal communication, with ability to follow established procedures and participate in training for certifications.

Formación

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent required; dispatch experience not mandatory but helpful.
• Strong listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication are essential.
• Candidates should be able to follow structured procedures and complete required assessments.

Responsabilidades

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines
• Confirm the incident location and caller’s callback information
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions
• Use language-access and accessibility resources as needed
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification
