Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency and nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller contact information.
• Use approved questions to identify urgency and nature of the situation.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software accurately.
• Forward information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions within training and policy constraints.
• Adhere to privacy rules and agency procedures at all times.
