Responsibilities

• Confirm incident location and caller contact information.
• Use approved questions to determine nature and urgency of situations.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software accurately.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with essential instructions and guidance.
• Use language-access resources when needed.
• Complete call-taking training and certifications as required.
