Qualifications

• Ability to enter information accurately and follow structured procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and follow call-taking procedures.
• Confirm incident location and caller information for dispatch.
• Ask focused questions to determine urgency and required response.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification scope.
• Maintain caller privacy and confidentiality at all times.
