Job summary

Public Safety Dispatch Network is seeking 911 Call Takers for opportunities in Sandgap, KY. You will handle emergency and nonemergency lines, confirm locations, and document details to support responders. Training is provided to ensure proper procedures and certified guidelines are followed.

Ideal candidates have strong listening and typing skills, clear communication, and a customer-service background. Positions may require rotating shifts and adherence to background checks and scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong listening, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication essential.
• Customer service experience is helpful; dispatch experience is not always required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into dispatch software.
• Forward incident information to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide caller assistance within training boundaries and certifications.
