Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated operator for the 3rd shift in Walker, MI. You will run and monitor up to 800-ton stamping presses, verify parts against JES and customer specs, and record inspection data in the Plex ERP system.

Responsibilities include loading correct blank sheets, performing quality checks, packing parts per packaging instructions, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while meeting daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Operates stamping presses and performs quality checks according to standards.
• Reads Job Element Sheets and references Plex JES/ERP for production.
• Maintains safety, accuracy, and housekeeping in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors up to 800-ton stamping presses.
• Aligns blanks, loads steel sheets, and ensures quality stampings per JES.
• Performs quality checks and records data in Plex ERP.
• Packs parts per instructions and labels per customer requirements.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness and supports other work centers as needed.
