Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a Secondary Press Operator for the 3rd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) at our Walker, MI plant. You will run and monitor up to 800-ton stamping presses, load blanks, perform quality checks, and document results in Plex ERP to meet production standards.

Requirements include 18+, ability to stand 8–10 hours, English proficiency, a High School diploma, and stamping-press experience preferred. We value safety, teamwork, and ownership through our ESOP program.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to stand 8-10 hours and perform essential duties.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Previous stamping press operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate up to 800 Ton Secondary stamping presses to meet production targets.
• Reference production orders in Plex to stamp product per JES.
• Load correct blank steel sheets and ensure quality stamping.
• Perform quality checks and document results in Plex ERP.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area and complete housekeeping duties.
• Cross-train on other work centers as required.
• Meet daily production requirements.
