Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing seeks a capable press operator to monitor 1,000 Ton Automatic presses, ensuring quality stampings per JES, and recording data in the Plex ERP system. The role involves loading coils, performing inspections, and maintaining safe, clean work areas in a team-driven environment.

Workers may rotate across centers, complete hourly paperwork, and assist with packing while adhering to safety and quality standards at Plant 4 in Holland, MI.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely perform duties.
• Maintains high standards of performance and integrity in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate up to 1,000 Ton Automatic stamping presses and ensure quality per JES and ERP records.
• Load proper coils and set up for production to meet daily/weekly requirements.
• Complete inspection sheets and verify process stability and gage requirements.
• Visually inspect stamped parts for form, fit, and function per standards.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area and perform housekeeping duties.
• Cross-train on multiple work centers and complete necessary paperwork (hourly counts).
• Assist with packing, labeling, and packaging as required to meet customer requirements.
