Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Walker, MI is seeking a 2nd shift Press Operator to monitor up to 1,000-ton automatic presses and ensure stamped parts meet Challenge Quality Standards, production orders, and JES/engineering specs. You will reference Plex ERP, load coils, perform inspections, and document results on operator sheets.

Requires a high school diploma, 1 year manufacturing experience, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well enough to perform duties safely
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Monitor up to 1,000-ton automatic presses to ensure quality stampings meet standards, orders, and specifications
• Reference production orders in Plex to stamp parts per JES
• Select and load correct coils to produce quality stampings
• Perform visual inspections and complete operator inspection sheets
• Maintain safe, clean work area and assist with housekeeping as needed
• Cross-train on other work centers as required
