Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern who will apply didactic learning to real-world practice, work under a preceptor, and follow a comprehensive training roadmap across store operations to prepare for a Pharmacist role.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, learn SOPs, and develop empathy and communication with patients while supporting immunizations and in-store services.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription label accuracy for patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people, respond to patient needs with empathy.
• Communication Skills: clear verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: compute days supply and bottle counts for prescriptions.
• Problem Resolution: address patient or colleague issues effectively.
• Physical Demands: withstand long shifts, lift and move items as required.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
