Job summary

CVS Health invites 3rd year Pharmacy Interns to apply their didactic learning in real‑world practice within our retail pharmacy teams. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap, participate in SOPs, and gain hands‑on experience across store operations while delivering safe, accurate prescriptions.

You will develop skills through Key Learning Experiences and mentoring, with opportunities to assist immunizations and patient health services as allowed by law and certification.

Qualifications

• ACPE‑accredited college enrollment or active enrollment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to assist Pharmacists and Technicians in patient health management.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide empathetic patient service and assist with immunizations and other services where allowed.
• Counsel patients and obtain necessary medical history information under supervision.
• Assist with telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers when needed.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members as directed.
