Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learnings in real-world practice within our pharmacy teams. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap to understand store, district, and regional operations, while gaining hands-on experience in patient care and safe, accurate dispensing.

You will learn to operate with SOPs, support immunizations and vaccination services where permitted, and contribute to a caring, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to support pharmacists and technicians in patient care.
• Assist with prescription fulfillment and customer service at the pharmacy workstation.
• Counsel patients and obtain necessary medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed by state law.
• Participate in inventory tasks and maintain accuracy in medication stocking.
• Support immunization services and other patient care initiatives under supervision.
