Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support store pharmacy teams, applying didactic learning to real-world practice. Under a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.

You will learn SOPs, participate in immunizations and other services where permitted, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to deliver caring service and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Eligible for enrollment in ACPE accredited college of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately and promptly.
• Follow SOPs and participate in training to develop pharmacy skills under supervision.
• Support immunizations and other patient services where allowed by state law.
• Provide counseling and field medical questions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory activities and support store operations as directed by leadership.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and travel to stores as needed by the business.
