Job summary

O'Neal Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shop floor areas, ensuring manufacturing, loading and shipping meet quality and delivery expectations while upholding safety and cost standards.

The role requires leadership experience, a degree or equivalent, and familiarity with Epicor/MES. Candidates should have strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive improvements and maintain high team morale in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a steel or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor/associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• Leadership experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
• Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop floor areas to support manufacturing, loading and shipping of orders.
• Audit operator inspections and assist Quality in identifying errors.
• Interview and train prospective employees; coordinate development and cross-training.
• Coordinate with Planning to set daily machine schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean methods and support preventive maintenance.
• Enforce safety procedures and administer policies; ensure timesheets and attendance are accurate.
• Resolve internal/external customer problems/complaints and promote teamwork.
• May perform tasks in specialized areas (welding, machining, shipping/receiving).
• Understand and utilize Epicor and MES for reporting, time entry, and job tracking.
