O'Neal Manufacturing Services in Louisville, KY is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee one or more shop areas, supporting manufacturing, loading, and shipping of orders while meeting quality and delivery expectations and maintaining safety and cost standards. The role requires leadership, experience in manufacturing environments, and familiarity with safety and quality systems.

Shift: 3rd, Monday–Thursday, 8:30pm–7:00am, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, training, and process

Qualifications

3+ years experience in steel/manufacturing environment.
Two- or four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Leadership experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Audit operator inspections and assist Quality in identifying and preventing errors.
Interview and evaluate prospective employees; plan and coordinate training for new and existing employees.
Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to set daily machine schedules; execute the work schedule with effective utilization of manpower and equipment.
Troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise shop floor activities to meet quality standards and delivery dates.
Support preventive maintenance schedules with the Maintenance Department.
Understand and administer safety policies, enforce PPE, and ensure training and tools are available.
Assist in resolving internal and external customer problems/complaints.
Promote high employee morale and retention; emphasize teamwork and collaboration.
Understand and accurately maintain/utilize Epicor and MES, including report generation and time entry.
