Internal Job Opportunities in Louisville, KY seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee shop floor activities, ensuring timely manufacturing, loading and shipping of orders while upholding safety and cost standards.

The role requires leadership, ISO 9001:2015 familiarity, OSHA 30 training, and competence with Epicor and MES. Shift: 3rd, Mon-Thu 8:30pm-7:00am; supervise and mentor team across areas to maintain quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a steel or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Leadership experience required; Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
• Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit operator level inspections and assist the Quality team in identifying and preventing errors.
• Interview and evaluate prospective employees; plan and coordinate training for new and existing employees.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to set daily machine schedules; execute the work schedule with effective utilization of manpower and equipment.
• Troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise shop floor activities to meet quality standards and delivery dates.
• Support preventive maintenance schedules with the Maintenance Department.
• Understand and administer employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules; monitor performance.
• Assist in the resolution of internal and external customer problems/complaints.
• Promote high employee morale and maintain retention; emphasize teamwork and collaboration.
• Specialized areas may require additional tasks to keep area productive.
• Understand and implement Epicor and MES, including report generation, time entry, job completion, and monitoring idle jobs.
