Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services, LLC in Fayette, AL is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shop floor areas supporting manufacturing, loading and shipping of orders, while ensuring quality, delivery, safety and cost standards. The supervisor will implement SOPs and lead teams to meet production goals.

The role requires leadership experience, knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma, and familiarity with Epicor/MES systems.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a steel or manufacturing environment.
Two- or four-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Leadership experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC) preferred.

Responsibilities

Audit operator level inspections and assist Quality in identifying and preventing errors.
Interview and train prospective and existing employees for development and cross-training.
Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to set daily machine schedules and optimize manpower and equipment usage.
Troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise shop floor activities to meet quality standards and delivery dates.
Support preventive maintenance schedules with Maintenance Department.
Understand and administer company safety policies, supervise performance, and approve time off.
