Job summary

The candidate should have 3+ years in manufacturing, a related degree or equivalent, and proven leadership experience, with preferred knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and OSHA safety training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a steel or manufacturing environment.
• Two or four-year college degree, or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience preferred.
• Formal safety training (OSHA 30, NSC, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop employees: plan work schedules, conduct performance and salary reviews, provide feedback and guidance, administer discipline, develop productivity improvement strategies, and maintain timesheets.
• Understand and enforce safety procedures and guidelines, including JSA and PPE, and ensure appropriate training and tools for success.
• Understand and implement quality practices and customer-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with Planning/Scheduling to set daily machine schedules and troubleshoot workmanship problems to meet quality standards and delivery dates.
• Assist in resolving internal and external customer problems/complaints.
