Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a #3 Bindery Operator in Eagan, MN to perform setup tasks, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot on the Core Publishing Solutions team. Eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Shift is 3rd, 10:30pm–6:30am with overtime and weekend opportunities.

Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, performing setups, maintaining quality, using SAP/MII, and documenting activities. Safety and continuous improvement are emphasized across the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; vocational degree preferred.
• Mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement.
• Competence with rulers and measurement.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with bindery equipment (Perfect Binders, 40-station collators, trimmers, boxing, palletizing).
• Experience with hard-cover casing-in lines and related packaging lines.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders.
• Regularly lift 5–50 lbs and wear PPE including steel-toe shoes and ear protection.

Responsibilities

• Review job specifications for materials and setup requirements.
• Perform setup tasks and monitor equipment and product quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and products; seek maintenance support as needed.
• Communicate effectively during shift hand-offs.
• Document activities in Tier Boards, MII, and SAP.
• Assist with feeding, stacking, and inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Contribute to safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup for other operators as needed.
