Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Core Print Solutions team in Eagan, Minnesota. You will install, diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

The role offers a 3rd shift (10:30p–6:30a) and involves liaising with operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers to manage repairs and shift tasks. 2-year technical college or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college or equivalent experience.
• Industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Volt/ohmmeter, dial indicator, micrometer, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, hoists, jacks, test equipment.
• Knowledge of air, hydraulic, vacuum systems.
• Welding, brazing and soldering abilities.
• Basic diagnosis of electrical components (switches, sensors, detectors, motors).
• Math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
• Reconcile work assignments at end of shift.
• Perform lubrication procedures and electro-mechanical inspections for preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace motors, gearboxes, servos, switches/sensors, drives.
• Read and interpret blueprints to make repairs or modifications.
• Operate machine shop and material handling equipment.
