Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc is seeking a 2nd shift Yard and Dock Coordinator in Lincoln, NE to lead dock operations and trailer movements. You will work closely with operations, transportation, safety, and customer teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely dock activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, dock, yard, or transportation environment.
• Ability to coordinate dock or yard activities in a fast-paced operation.
• Knowledge of trailer docking, release procedures, and trailer anatomy.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication for daily customer-facing and cross-functional interactions.

Responsibilities

• Champion operation safety and support dock equipment as required.
• Serve as primary contact for loading/unloading dock activities and coordinate trailer movements.
• Manage and sequence docking, release, and yard flow with knowledge of trailer anatomy and safety standards.
• Monitor dock conditions and escalate unsafe situations following procedures.
• Partner with site ops, transportation, yard services, and customer teams to prioritize tasks.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders and maintain customer service mindset.
• Ensure dock activities align with process guidelines, safety standards, and site SWIs.
• Support dock and yard organization in line with 7S standards.
• Conduct regular visual inspections to identify risks, inefficiencies, or delays.
• Use MS Office 365 and Google Suite to track activity and document issues.
• Provide coverage and operational support to site leadership and leads.
